Hello!! Earlier this week, I put up a post with a list of books that you can use for teaching your littles the alphabet. And I mentioned that I would put this up! :)This list is a little more in depth. It is my son’s and my favorite ABC books that we’ve read and I’m going to give you a little information about the books and why they’re our favorites.

First up! LMNO Peas and LMNO Pea-quel by Keith Baker. These are two of my favorites! They’re so cute! They are two books where little peas talk about all the jobs they are able to be as they go through the alphabet. They’re super adorable and there are so many different occupations! I also find new little things every single time I read these books. ;) Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom is just a classic. It’s been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. It’s just a cute little book where there are adventurous little letters and I just find it so cute now. When I was little, I’m not sure what drew me to it, but it was a book I have very vivid memories of reading with my classmates in kindergarten. Minnesota Twins from A to Z is a very special book to me. I’m not sure if it can be found out in the wild, honestly. For four summers, I practically lived at the Metrodome. I am a huge Minnesota sports fan and will love my teams until I die. This book was written and illustrated by a group of people, including the wives of the Minnesota Twins at the time of publication. (My book has a bunch of signatures from the wives. ;) ) It’s one of my favorite books and it just has so many memories attached to it that I love that I’m getting to share with my son. Dr. Seuss’ ABC is another classic that I love. Dr. Seuss is one of my all time favorites and I love just about every book from him. Even the Learning Library ones are favorites too! This one is super adorable because there are the usual tongue twisters and so many different cute things involving colors and letters and Dr. Seuss is just one of those that feels like should be on every book list. V is for Voting is another favorite! I graduated from college with a political science degree and I take my voting rights very seriously. Our son has gone with us to vote in every primary and general election in his short life so far and he loves getting to do it. We drive by our voting location quite often and he loves yelling, “We voted there!” every time. :) L’s favorites: A is for Apple D is for Dinosaur B is for Brownies Sesame Street: The Messy Alphabet Book! Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site: Cement Mixer’s ABC Twins ABC Jon Scieszka’s TruckTown Race from A to Z The first three are his favorites, just because they include some of his favorite things. :) He is a typical little boy in the fact that he loves his construction vehicles and his dinosaurs. It’s fun to try to pronounce all the dinosaur names with him. He tries so hard to repeat them and it just ends up being so cute. Sesame Street and GNGNCS are some of his absolute favorite things. Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site books are also my husband’s favorite! He loves to look for all the different ones and one of his favorite books to read to our son is the original Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site book. Regarding Sesame Street, Elmo and Gonger are L’s favorites, and anything to do with Sesame Street (especially the books) are must haves. The sixth book on the list is a favorite because when I say this kid is obsessed with baseball, he’s beyond obsessed. He falls asleep to baseball games at night, he loves listening to them at quiet time in the afternoon. He loves looking through his 2023 media guide (which he took from me! ;) ) and looks at it all the time. The Minnesota Twins are his favorite team and this is a nice little book that mentions different things regarding baseball and little fun historical things about the team as well. The last book on the list is Jon Scieszka’s TruckTown Race from A to Z and we found this one at the library! The first time we read it, before rest time/quiet time, he loved it. It’s pretty much what the title says. ;) It’s about different vehicles (most of them are types of trucks) and they are all different letters in the alphabet and they’re racing. Different things happen during the race, and the winner of the race will definitely surprise you! ;) I sincerely hope this list will help you, as will the other one.
